Cbank: Russians’ net demand for foreign cash falls 23% in Mar
MOSCOW, May 16 (PRIME) -- Russians’ net demand for foreign currency cash decreased 23% on the month to U.S. $1.2 billion in March, the central bank said in a report on Wednesday.
Combined demand for foreign currency cash rose 3% to $4.7 billion. Demand for U.S. dollars remained almost flat at $3.2 billion and for euros grew 9% to $1.5 billion.
The share of U.S. dollars in combined demand decreased to 67% from 69%, and of euros rose to 31% from 30%.
